Sorry to be so brief with my last message, but I was a dab busy <g>.
We have had a database problem that is going to take some time to get resolved. We have
not lost anything. Please do not log in until I notify you the problem is resolved.
Transcribers: Can't work.
Image Processors: Can download and work on images. You can upload them back to your
dr1911_present folder BUT CANNOT RUN THE IMAGE PROCESSING SCRIPT. If you want to download
and work on images, contact Sherri Hall and let her know you understand and she will
unlock your folder for you.
Proofers: I need some help from you. I'll be restoring the Proofed field from an 8/13
backup. I need to know beginning with Saturday, how old the files were you were working on
(best estimates). In other words, were you staying on top of things and had no
transcriptions more than 2 days old in your folders, not more than 1 day old, more than a
week old? Which of your counties have been empty since at least Saturday? When you went to
bed last night, were your proofing folders all empty? Have you had them complete every day
starting with Saturday? The worst possible scenario for you proofers is you may see some
of the records you've proofed since Saturday show up in your folder again. All the
data that was input by the transcriber and updated by you will be intact. Only the Proofed
field may have reset to NO and you might have to quickly go through some folders hitting
the submit button on some you've already done.
This is pretty minor -- just a little time consuming. The text file of the backup I have
to work with is 2.6 gigabytes. I have to split it into hundreds of text files and upload
each one I need to restore.
I'll keep everyone posted.
Thanks,
--Sheryl Slaughter
