We have been using the wonderful ST-200 microfilm scanners available at the
Jeffersonville, IN public library. The give us a wonderful output, but are a bit slower
than some of the other methods we're using.
For that reason, we've been saving these machines for the tough images, like the
ledger pages of births, marriages and deaths from 1852-1910. Here is a link to a sample of
one of those we processed using this machine:

I will be at the Jeffersonville Public Library on Plank road (about 3 minutes from 1-65 at
Ohio River) tomorrow morning from 9 until at least 10 a.m. setting up final instructions
for scanning these old ledger pages. The process is quite simple.
I will be leaving several rolls of microfilm at the reference desk for anyone to stop by
and help scan. If anyone would like to meet me there in the morning to get a brief
demonstration, please e-mail me and let me know.
Thanks to Bonnie Snow for letting us know about the availability of these machines!
