Recently, with the movement of many files from the Rootsweb server to other
locations, broken links have become much more frequent. Not only have many of
the county sites relocated, but other links have changed in the last year or
so, which in most cases had nothing to do with Rootsweb.
As most of you know, many of our volunteers to the KY Vital Records Project
are county genweb coordinators, and I honestly don't know where we'd be
without them. Perhaps now it's time to give back a little.
On a first come, first served basis, I'll be glad to do a site survey for
broken links on any county genweb site. I'm sure we have others who would be
glad to do the same. Most of us can't rewrite your code, but we can let you
know what works and what doesn't.
Any other volunteers out there to check for broken links? When you reply,
please include your email address and first name (at least) for contact.
Let's see what we can do!
