We've had a $40.00 cash donation to the project this week from one of your project
volunteers who wishes to remain anonymous.
For those of you new to the project, we do not solicit funds. Sometimes someone comes
forward and wants to make a donation. When funds are received, a notice is immediately
sent to all volunteers with the amount, name of the donor if desired, and what the monies
will be used for.
All expenses relating to the project are being paid by project administrators. When a
donation is received, the administrators receive partial reimbursement. At no time will
money ever be issued in excess of what was spent.
This $40 will be used to help pay the 2006 web space we use for the database and image
processing portion of the project.
The priorities for using donated funds are:
1. Pay for the web space;
2. Pay for the domain registration (
kyvitals.com);
3. Pay for cd's to back up the project;
4. Purchase microfilm for unique collections to add to the project.
We want to thank our project volunteer who made the donation and those who have donated
in the past.
Again, we are not soliciting funds and cash donations are not expected from project
volunteers. We appreciate your donations of time and skills more than you'll know!
Thanks,
--Sheryl Slaughter
