I've had reports over the last few weeks of poor image quality. Please know we are
working on this. There are some instances where we do have poor image quality, but others
where something looks terrible on one volunteer's monitor and fine on others.
If an image is blurry or out of focus at all, it is unacceptable.
If it is too light and any of the faint writing has been lost, it is unacceptable.
If the text has a jagged look, it is unacceptable.
If it is too dark, it is unacceptable.
If you see a shadow, or offset around the text, it is unacceptable.
There is a link at the top of the transcription and proofing forms to report a problem
with image quality. PLEASE use it. I've temporarily updated it this morning to send
your report to both our Imaging Administrator, Sherri Hall, and myself. Since we own 5
different computers between us (including one Mac), this will give us the opportunity to
view any image on multiple monitors and then take appropriate action.
We may come back and ask you to take a screen shot of what you are seeing and send it to
us if the image looks good on our monitors.
Thank you for your diligence and support.
