A couple of things..
There are several of you that have emailed me and said that you still can't
get the site to come up. It will/may take different amounts of time for you
to be able to access the site again compared to what others are seeing.
This will depend on your ISP and everyone should be getting access back
soon, if you haven't already. We know the new servers are being recognized
as at least some of us can connect. It may take as long as 48 hours for the
new address to get to all web providers, depending on how often they crawl
the web to pick up website addresses.
Several of you have also reported that images that you had in your folders
to be transcribed had disappeared. I think this happened because we
continued to work after they did the backup in preparation for the move
(they didn't tell us not to!). Whatever we did between the time they
completed the backup and the time they uploaded the site to the new servers
is lost. I'm in the process of re-uploading the last images that I had sent
to the servers and they'll begin to make their way into your folders by
evening's end. (You'll also see LOTS of new ones, thanks to our busy image
processors. <g>) I hope this will catch all of them. Proofers, you may
also see things re-appear in your folders that you thought you'd finished -
again, the records regressed to the point when they did their backup. I
know I had finished most of my records to be proofed, and now they're all
back waiting on me again.
As we get toward the end of the 1913 images that we're working on, Sheryl
and/or I will be checking for images for every record and will pick up the
missing ones at that time, just in case I've missed any others.
Thanks again for your patience and dedication to the project.
Sherri
