Good morning everyone,
I've made updates to the image processing instructions this morning for both
Adobe PhotoShop Elements and Paint Shop Pro (PSP). If you are one of our
image processors, please take a few moments to review these documents - they
have changed quite a bit in a couple of instances. Also, for those using
PSP to process images, I've added instructions on processing the images
individually in addition to the batch processing ones so it's a little
easier to follow - I know a few of you are more comfortable not using the
batch process. If you listed PaintShop Pro as the photo manipulating
softwares that you use, I've uploaded a new PSP script to your folders.
Please make sure that you download it and start using it now instead of the
old one that we've been using.
As you work through these new instructions, please let me know if there's
something that I've either left out or that doesn't match the steps as you
go along so that I can get the corrections made. Also, I don't have a copy
of the Adobe PhotoShop software, so if someone could draft out changes that
need to be made to that page and send it to me, I'd really appreciate it.
I've also made changes to some of the other instructions that fall under the
imaging umbrella over the last couple of weeks. Please check through them
if you get a chance. I've added instructions for the Rejected Birth
Certificate images to both the Paint Shop Pro and Adobe PhotoShop Elements
pages. You'll start seeing these images start to work their way through the
system before too long.
You're doing a fantastic job, and I can't thank each of you enough for your
dedication to the project. We've processed 7396 images for the month of
November so far - it's a great contribution, and the reason that the
transcription and proofing assignments are being adjusted for the increased
numbers of images we're making available <g>.
Thanks again,
Sherri
