The folders of images that you've been assigned up to now to work on have,
for the most part, been 25 images in consecutive order. We've started going
through and checking for missing images - ones that either weren't issued or
that we discarded before assigning them because the original quality was so
bad and getting copies of them to add so that we'll have every one accounted
for. Some of you will shortly begin seeing folders of images that are these
retakes - and they're, for the most part, not consecutive certificates.
If you see folders marked "retakes" show up in your rawimages folders,
please go ahead and process them - don't worry that they're not in numerical
order.
As a reminder, the final images should be saved at a resolution of 125
pixels/inch (dpi) and 750 pixels wide. We've added a sharpening step to the
original processing (before they come to you), so most won't require
sharpening when you're working with them. Please make sure that we're not
over processing the images to the point that we actually begin losing
quality in the quest for a perfectly white background. We'd much rather
have a slightly darker (or dull) background and be able to clearly see all
of the light strokes of the pen (or pencil it appears in some cases) that
were used when completing the original certificate than to have a bright
white background.
Thanks,
Sherri
