Team:
I know some of you are seeing very poor images right now. This is due to a
problem with some software settings generating very small images. Then when I
run the final script to enlarge them or increase the DPI, the images are muddy
and grainy. If you have images that are totally unacceptable, please report them
and pend them. Don't expect to hear back from me on them in the next two weeks.
I'm traveling and don't have the external drives with me that contain the
original images. Also, my home just sold and I have to be out very quickly, so
I'll be in transition for the next 2-3 weeks.
On a good note, our new imaging administrator and I are working very hard to
improve the quality of images going into the project. The problem has nothing to
do with the skill of the processors, but rather the quality of the instructions
they have been given. I take full responsibility for not addressing this earlier
in the project. I want to especially thank the image processors who are being so
patient with us as we request test batches over and over to try to improve the
project.
Thank you for all the hard work. Sometime soon, we're going to hit that
300,000th record! You all are amazing!!!
