Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to the image processing team and to our new
Imaging Admin, Sonja. They have been so patient with me in rewriting the image
processing instructions and doing repeats of test images until we achieved a
much better image quality. I think our transcribers, proofers, and site visitors
are really going to appreciate the improvement.
NOTE: I just uploaded 1,450 images, so check your folders.
NOTE: There are about 3 images that are so faint that NO writing can be read. If
you get one of those, just depend upon what the state has input in the prefilled
fields we use from the Kentucky Death Index.
Since July 1:
YOU have added 5,459 images to the project for transcription;
YOU have transcribed 4,762 records;
YOU have proofed 4,828 records.
I think that is pretty impressive!
I will be working individual image problems this week. As I do them, they'll
disappear from your pending folders. I'll also try to address each volunteer's
issues that have been reported.
Thank you all so much for your support and your patience while I was moving. You
are awesome!
