As I sit here trimming another dozen batches of images, I wonder,
how or when can I use the KY Vitals search to locate information based
on the mother's surname. Is this type of search in the near future ?
It there a file that contains the transcribed data that can be browsed ?
I have 6 DOYLE daughters with parents Patrick DOYLE and Katherine
DONNELLY listed in the 1860 census at Harrodsburg, Mercer Co: Mary A
age 14, Margaret age 12, Bridget age 10, Kate age 7, Eliza age 4, Alice
age 1.
The parents are not to be found in 1870 so I think the parents died and
the orphaned girls were scattered around the counties of KY.
I have Kate in Danville, Boyle Co in 1870 & in Florence, Boone Co in
1880 censuses.
I think Lizzie and Alice are at the orphange school in Springfield,
Washington Co. in 1870.
My hope is to find either their death records by searching on their
parents names or find their children's death records by search on the
mother's surname DOYLE.
I appreciate any info on plans to make the KY transcribed data seachable
by the parents name(s) without using the decedant's names.

Sheila Lofft Strickland
