Hi there list...
I am trying to track down a KNOTT family member that may have been in the
Poorhouse around the 1900's. I am wondering if anyone would happen to know
where the Poorhouse was located, or even what district/town it was in. I
have the 1900 census, so narrowing down the census listings will help if I
had approximately where it was. If someone by chance would have a listing of
the poorhouse individuals around 1900... that would be most helpful. I don't
know definitely that he was in it, but from the 1900 census, the wife was
listed as still being married but in her son's family's residence. At one
time I remembered seeing him being in the poorhouse, but neglected to make a
copy or even write down where I found it.
Thanking you in advance...
