I agree... been to quiet, and with spring and ummer coming up it's going to
get even more quiet. While my researching info is tied up on a "locked up"
drive and I can't get to it yet, I still would like to post the surnames that
I am looking.
Up until about 50 or so years ago, all my branches were in Breckinridge Co.,
and had been there for about 120-130 years. I'll post the earliest known
ancestor and spouse and pray my memory and notes will hold out on any queries
or responses.
1. Thomas Jefferson BRUNER (son of Abraham and Nancy PENICK BRUNER) md.
Charlotte GRAY. My line goes from James Francis BRUNER who md. Francis
"Fanny" KASEY BRUNER (dau of Sandy KASEY and ??), to their son William Henry
Harrison BRUNER who md. Mary KNOTT (dau of William and Louisa ROBBINS KNOTT),
to their daughter which is my grandmother.
2. William KNOTT (originally born in Washington Co., KY; father of Rev.
Raphael "Ralph" KNOTT) md. Louisa ROBBINS and had 12 children. They had Rev.
Raphael KNOTT who married Sarah Elizabeth HAYNES (Dudley HAYNES and not sure
which of two people is her mother) and when she died, married Mary L.
(possible HARDESTY or HARDAWAY). Raphael and Sarah had daughter Mary KNOTT
(see above).
3. John ALLGOOD (originally born in Mecklenburg Co., VA in 1757) married and
had 5 children and made it to Breckinridge Co. where he died there in 1834.
His son Manley married Prissillia ?? and both are believed buried either in
Breck. or Meade Co. They had son George Washington ALLGOOD who married Mary
Vantine HALL (dau of Dr. William Cidney HALL and possibly ?? GANNAWAY of
Breckinridge Co.). They had son Samuel ALLGOOD who married Leura Harrison
LYNCH (dau of Thomas and Letitia JARED LYNCH). They had son George Alfred
ALLGOOD who married my grandmother (she's still living, so I won't post her
name).
4. Thomas LYNCH (believed born in VA) served in the Civil War and believed
to have met his future wife through one of his fellow soldiers. He and
Letitia JARED (dau of Mayson/Mason and Mary "Polly" DOWELL JARED) had one
surviving son Alfred Lincoln LYNCH before he died of TB. Alford Lincoln
LYNCH md. Alice Minerva BLISSIT/BLISSETT (dau of Elijah and Nancy PRATHER
BLISSIT) and had dau Leura Harrison LYNCH (see above for whom she married).
5. Elijah BLISSIT md. Nancy PRATHER. Of their children they had Alice
Minerva BLISSETT who md. ?? HARRINGTON (first) and then Alford Lincoln LYNCH.
Of their children, they had Leura Harrison LYNCH (see above for connection).
I know that is a lot, but knew they were all, at one time, strongly based
Breckinridge Co. residents. Don't know what I might be able to do in the way
of help... but I pray I don't have things breakdown and hit me all at once
like they did several weeks ago. I will try my very best to respond to
anyone that happens to have connections.
Thanks.... Dana
