Dear List, I have these notes discussing a Benjamin Fenwick and his
family in Breckinridge County, Kentucky. I can't find any information
concerning his family. Can someone tell me Benjamin's family?
> From the Breckenridge County Kentucky "Additional Early Marriage Records"
> "December 28, 1864 - Benedict J. Gough, 27, farmer, 2nd marriage, b.
> Meade County, Kentucky, resident of Daviess County, Kentucky, (father
> and mother b. Meade County), to Juliann M. Fenwick, 23, (father b.
> Breckinrideg County, Mother b. Kentucky ); John O. Clark, bondsman;
> to be married December 28, 1864 at Hardinsburg."
> So we know that Juliann was from Breckinridge Co.
> In the Breckinridge County Census for 1850 we found: Benjamin Fenwick
> 48, Caroline 35, ANN 8, Richard 7, Betty 5, Benjamin 4, John F. 1.
> The 1860 Breckenridge County shows: Caroline Fenwick 47, Juliet 18
> (?), Richard 16, Mary 16, Benjamin 13 & John 11 (Benjamin Fenwick has
> apparently died by now).
> So in the 1850 census we find Ann Fenwick 8. In the 1860 she is
> Juliet 18. I would bet that her full name was Juliet Ann Fenwick.
> She is from the correct county and she is also the correct age to be
> the Julianne M. Fenwick that married Ole Benj Gough.
