Looking to see if there are any surviving descendants still in Meade or Breckinridge County from the following names. I would like to try to connect with any of them if possible. Their father was Henry T. Davis and mother was Adeline M. (Griffee) Davis:
Myrtle Davis (b. abt 1894)
Fred Davis (b. abt 1895)
Roy E. Davis (b. abt 1898)
Mary Davis (b. abt 1902)
Robert Davis (b. abt 1905)
John Davis (b. abt 1907)
They may have been in Wolf Creek, Cedar Flat, Battletown, Oolite, and/or Brandenburg in Meade County.
I think they were in Cloverport sometime around 1910. I found a newspaper article from Breckinridge County where Myrtle may have married a William T. Hurt in 1910. Fred may have moved to Baltimore at some point in his adult life. Roy is pretty well documented (my line). Mary may have wed a Meade County sheriff or some other law enforcement person (unverified). No ideas about Robert and John.
I'm trying to organize a Davis family reunion and would like to include any surviving relatives if they can be identified.
I've finally gotten moved and pretty much everything in place. Still a few odds and ends to take care of, but for the most part I'm just about ready to begin resuming Archive and County site work. I've gotten a few things already sent in over the past couple of days to add to the site, not to mention the return to posting the death certificate work transcribers did last year. Bob McManaway has graciously offered to help me with things so we don't get backlogged as bad as I was before.
For those who have my email in the addy books, it's been changed... so please take note. It is now: brieskate1016 (at) gmail.com (for spamming purposes, insert an "at" symbol for the wording). If I am able to help, I will be more than willing to or at least point you in the right direction. With two jobs plus maintaining the County and Archives pages for Breck. Co., I am unable to do any researching requests (I haven't done any researching on my lines in well over a year).
Y'all have a good one... and happy hunting!!
