Alice and everyone else,
David finished running the script for us to replace the Email Registry ID
links that pointed to Rootsweb to the new location. There are a few files
that they found that I have to do a manual replacement on as there were a
few issues (they varied). I'm trying to finish them up this afternoon and
will let you know as soon as I do.
In the meantime, if you keep a backup copy of your archives sites, you'll
want to download a new copy of all of your county files so you'll have the
most recent version if you have to update something (remember, the some of
the ftp files will have changed, too, as they may list the submitter's Email
Registry ID as their email address. If you want to go ahead and start on
that, I'll contact the individuals that will need to do a final replacement
with the files that I manually update.
Please don't upload anything new right now, or I may never get out of this
twisted maze - I've got three different copies of backups sitting here and
need to make sure I'm uploading from the most recent one.
Thanks,
Sherri

Subject: [KYARC] Status
Sherri/Suzanne/Tom/Whoever is sure what is going on,
I got so much email in the last couple days that I am not 100% sure that I
know what the most recent email is... I'm just wondering, are we still
"holding off" on archives updates due to the registry changes, or not? I
sorted out all my items for the KY Archives and am ready to update all of
my
county TOCs but I do not want to do this if we're still waiting... and I
can't figure out from my emails if we are still on hold or not.
If someone could please advise, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Alice
