Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Tom, if he's resigning, I have interest in Fleming County.

Some will actually be resolved with the roll call behind us. On paper, I see we have 47 FMs and 34 adoptable counties. This is pending our roll call feedback. Please try to report back before the weekend.

thank you Sherri... yes it does help. I am still not sure if this is a

Hi Folks
This shouldn't hurt a bit <grin>. First thing I need is a KyArch FM Roll Call to establish a working file roster and the email address for all current FM volunteers. I will cross check this with our web pages and see if we have all the ducks lined out properly. There are some lingering admin chores on the table, but I will need time to resolve those issues. Some will actually be resolved with the roll call behind us. On paper, I see we have 47 FMs and 34 adoptable counties. This is pending our roll call feedback. Please try to report back before the weekend.
I have no plans to make any major changes or lean in a different direction than what you are already accustomed. We can always fine tune and improve together as we progress thru the year. The state archives main page has been reworked to reflect the current admin impact with no loss of content.
We have referral guidelines published by the USGW Archive managers, which we should review and keep in mind as we go forward. This provides us with some semblance of standardization all across the nation and allows our contributions to fit in very easily.

I really hate to sound ignorant, but as a volunteer, I simply cannot follow

just type it out please?

After much reflection, I've decided to step down as File Manager for the KY
Archives. I'll be hanging around and maintaining a couple of county files,
but have turned over the statewide responsibility to Tom Hembrey and Suzanne
Shephard. I know that the two of them will work tirelessly to keep the KY
Archives Project moving ahead into the new year.
I've really enjoyed working with each of you and hope to continue to help
when and where I can - I'm not going far! <g>
Thanks for everything that you all have done and continue to do for KY
researchers.
