I am new to this list and have a question. Do you have list of slaves who
were freed in KY? I am working on the family of George Dooley, who willed
his property to his slave Sarah, and their mulatto children in Lincoln Co. KY
in 1821. George freed several slaves other than Sarah and their children in
his will and he names them if anyone is interested.
I am trying to find descendants of George Dooley and Sarah and their
children; John Dooley, Hillard Dooley, Lucinda Dooley who married Peter
Jonathan 10-11-1832 in Lincoln Co., Malinda Dooley who married Edmond Guinn
2-19-1831 in Lincoln Co., Rhoda Dooley who married Sampson Brown 6-14-1834 in
Lincoln Co.. and Clark Dooley. I think they were in both Lincoln and Boyle
County KY, but I am not sure if they moved. Boyle was created from Lincoln
and Mercer County and I suspect they were on the same piece of land but it
was in Boyle after the county was formed.
Would love to hear from anyone working on these people.
