I see you have connections to HUGHES in Longford ... by any chance, do
you have a Catherine HUGHES in your family, who married Nicholas HEGARTY
in 1805, witnesses were John KEENA & ??? DALTON? They lived in Parish
of Longford/Templemichael, Address Cooleeny. Children were:
Andrew HEGARTY, b. 1806, sp. Edward & Elizabeth HUGHES
William HEGARTY, b. 1808, sp. Thomas & Joan MORAN
Catherine HEGARTY, b. 1810, sp. James BESTICK & Dorothy HUGHES
James HEGARTY, b. 1812, sp. James CUMMINS & Elizabeth MORAN
Nicholas HEGARTY, b. 1814, sp. Thomas MORAN & Mary PIERS
David HEGARTY, b. 1816, sp. William MORAN & Dorothy MORAN
Brigid HEGARTY, b. 1819, sp. Timothy & Eleanor HUGHES
Elizabeth HEGARTY, b. 1820, sp. John MURTAGH & Elizabeth MORAN
Seems that the MORAN family is somehow connected to this family ... does
anybody recognize these names?
>I recently found that my gg grandparents were from Killoe parish
>Longford Co. They were James HUGHES and Bridget KELLIHER. They marriedthere in Feb
1835, had several children, and then immigrated to Providence RI about 1850. My g
