Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Thanks to Simon de Montfort we have added Grantors and Grantees from
1708-1738 to the IGP Longford Archives under Land records.
These will be landowners but most Catholics leased land from them.
You can see it here.
Also if I didn't already mention it, I have changed out the slow Google
search engine and replaced it with our site search which is faster to
keep up with additions. The default is for newer matches to come up first.
The search box will search all the data files. The drop-down box says
longfordstones. It searches the headstones.
*The search engine is very literal. It will search for Patrick not Patk.
Since there are a lot of abbreviated names in Irish research - I would
try both. Also alternate last name spellings.
