Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Just to let you all know, we have had our first donation to the Longford Headstone
section. You can check the new area out under MISCELLANEOUS on the menu.
I have revamped the look of the website so that people with monitor settings in the large
range don't have a graphic through the text. I have also checked links and removed bad
ones. It will take awhile to get all the pages redone as there are a lot!
All the best,
Happy Memorial Day to our American listers!
I am checking in again. I was all ready to start up a page of County Longford headstones,
but I didn't have any.
Surely some of our list members have headstone photos from Longford to share.
If you don't know how to scan photos you can send me a color copy. I can scan it.
I can't say for sure. The main body of the church records are
themselves a transcription. But you normally get parents (in a
baptism) and sponsors. And the name of the Priest. Not much more.
Marriage records sometimes name the father of the bride and groom. But
that may not be given. Witnesses are named.
The originals are always the best source.

Do the church record manuscripts contain any other information besides

If I get some interest in this - I will start a headstone page on the
