Hi Betty Ann;
Where in Canada did Moses come to?? I'm thinking if I start looking there, I might be
able to find out where he came from.

After settling in Canada, at the age of 26, Moses OSBORNE was
instrumental in helping to build and establish a Baptist Church in the
area in which he lived, which still stands today. I do not know if that
would indicate that his family in Donegal were Baptist when he was a
child, or if there was a comparable religion that his family may have
belonged to in the late 1700s.
Various Irish and Canadian document transcriptions lead me to believe
that the two most likely locations for Moses OSBORNE to have come from
in Donegal are Braade Upper in Glencolumbkille Parish or Monreagh in
Taughboyne Parish; that his father's name was most likely William or
John and that his mother's name was most likely Mary.
Is there anyone on this list who might have knowledge of Glencolumbkille
and/or Taughboyne Parishes, and/or who can suggest where/how to search
for 1792-1820 records of these two parishes that might indicate which
OSBORNE family Moses belonged to?
Thank you for your time.
