One of these deaths is most interesting, its the MORROW name in
Killymard in the submission below showing the residence as Ogherbeg.
Age was 60y so birth about 1809, if both this Anne MORROW and my Rachel
MORROW lived in Killymard, they no doubt knew each other, am hoping they
were related to each other.
I have an 1855 Death Registration from Glasgow Scotland showing Rachel
MORROW was born in 'Killymard' , Donegal, Ireland [age shows birth abt
1806]. Nothing more about residence so I've been watching for other
MORROWs in Killymard. No Edward MORROW there in the Griffiths. The
Death Registration showed her parents as Edward MORROW and Margaret
ALFORD. Strangely her husband's name was the very same as her
husband....Edward MORROW, so I will continue to wonder if the names were
recorded correctly. Deaths of her children in Scotland confirm their
father is indeed an Edward MORROW [also called MURRAY in Scotland] which
leads me to wonder if her FATHER really was of the same name [Edward] or
it was a mistaken entry. Still think a mistaken entry is unlikely as
this was a legal document attested and sworn to as correct signed by 2
witnesses however I have no confirmation yet of any siblings for Rachel
who might have the same parents names.
Researchers have searched Scotland for similar MORROW/MURRAY documents
in Scotland looking for a sibling for Rachel MORROW [whose married
surname esd also MORROW], no luck yet. Does anyone on this List know
any more about this Spinster Anne MORROW at Ogherbeg ? Thanks Christina
for this enticing information....Meg Greenwood / Oklahoma USA
