Like Loretta I used www.FamilyTreeDNA.com
. I have been very surprised at
the close connections and interesting stories I am hearing/ finding as I
receive results from a recent swab for DNA that I sent to Family Tree DNA
from my 88 year old father.
I am impressed with my male ancestors from Inishowen being in the R1a1
haplogroup showing a Norse Viking connection.
It is great fun to get responses from people all over the world with
similar DNA connections. Go with at least a 37 marker test. and do it
through a family group - this is the less expensive way to go.

Has anyone had any luck with finding their Irish ancestors through DNA
testing? If so, who did they use?
