such a place in Co. Donegal? >>
Lindel has probably already filled you in on this (I get digest forms of the
county genealists, so I'm always the last to know). There are two townlands
of Leitrim in County Donegal. One is in Culdaff civil parish, probably the
one shown as Leitrim Hill on Discovery map #3 at 575 445 (although the
townlands list just says "Leitrim").
It's about 4 miles SE of Culdaff, up on the Inishowen.
The other Leitrim is on map #6 at 355 156, about 2 1/2 to 3 miles ESE of
Newtown Cunningham. It's at the far right edge of this map, and is also
shown on the NI Discoverer series map #7.
Fortunately, I don't find any Donegals in Co. Leitrim.
