Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

James Billingsly Marshall of Sallybrook, Parish of Ramochy , co of Donegal... To my wife Rachel Marshall...my two freehold farms at ?Montelurk and also my freehold farm at Sallybrook.... My son Samuel Marshall....
Can anybody tell me about Sallybrook in the 1800's, and can anybody suggest what ?Montelurk might be (Proni Wills).
I am interested in knowing more about the Marshall family of Gartan, co Donegal.
Dublin Weekly Nation 29 June 1861
"Mr John Marshall was a former owner of the Gartan Estate. He was fired at in 1840, upwards of twenty years ago. He died in October, 1840.... Mr W Marshall, who succeeded him, died on the 2nd of February 1849, leaving the present Samuel Marshall his heir. On Dec 31 1855, Samuel Marshall conveyed the Gartan Estate to WC Cornwall for 5900 pounds..."
