Susan, check out the Donegal page for the Sweeney clan. My cousin is the
secretary, her name is Maureen FERRY, and she is from Bunbeg/Gweedore.
That's where my family is from and it's possible her husband's people are
who you are looking for. Plus Gallagher is a Derrybeg name and my other
cousins Frances Gallagher who is dead now married a Hugh O'Donnell. At one
time the family owned the Derrybeg hotel.

I am searching for information on Hugh McSheffery/rey born abt, 1835 in
County Donegal. Married Margaret Rodgerson in abt, 1855. Among their
children they had seven sons, who could have been born in County Londonderry,
the Coleraine area. Four of the sons I can identify, John, Robert, James and
Samuel. Have not documented a son Hugh at this time. I will be grateful for
any information on the above.
I am looking for information on JAMES PATTON and MARTHA PERRY. He was born
about 1822 near Mossreagh, Parish of Kilmacrennan, and Martha Perry was born
about 1827 at Spierstown, Parish of Donegal.
They were married about 1844 and had four children, James, Francis, Anne and
Sarah, before emmigrating to Canada about 1851.
Thanks, in advance, for your help

Hi June! There's the birth of two children to that couple, registered
in Donegal -
Birth Date: 15 Feb 1872
Birthplace: Ramelton, Don, Ire
Father: Thomas KYLE
Mother: Eliza GRAHAM
Birth Date: 18 Apr 1874
Birthplace: Ramelton, Don, Ire
Father: Thomas Kyle
Mother: Eliza Graham
The births were registered in Ramelton and you'll be able to get a copy
of the birth registrations quite easily - these will tell you at least
which townland the couple were living in. If you think those births are
ones to your Thomas and Eliza, let me know and I'll tell you properly
how to get copies of the births.
I checked the 1857 Griffiths Valuations and the Kyles were predominantly
up in the area of Ramelton or in Inver.................there were
Grahams in Drumgowan in the parish of Donegal - a Francis, 2 Johns, a
Robert and a William.

I'm seeking information on Thomas Kyle born around 1850 in Donegal. He married an Eliza Graham, who may have come from Drumgowan, Donegal.Hope someone can help. Regards June Paterson

Mary Anderson married Thomas Ewing and lived in Donegal near Letterkenny. One
of their sons, Samuel Alexander, was born abt 1801.. Thomas Anderson was
listed in the Spinning Wheel Premium list as being in Inch which is very near
Letterkenny. So I am also interested in any information regarding the
ANDERSON family in that area of Donegal.
Seeking to exchange information with anyone researching Andersons in
Letterkenny. I have a Jane Anderson (born 1805)and her brother Fitzgerald
Anderson who came to Montreal, Canada before 1825. Suspect their father may
have been a James Anderson as each of them named their oldest son James.
Is there someone who can describe to me present day Killygordon and as a bonus give me some idea what it was like in 1860 when my ancestors CALDWELL were living there?
I did a "google" search but it was not very satisfactory re scenes of today, population etc

It's a long story, but as of a few hours ago, I no longer have access to the
file on my hard-drive........which contains about 6000 letters sent to me
(mostly from the Irish lists) and which I wanted to keep for future
use/reference. I still have use of a similar number of letters which I have
sent to various lists/individuals (and they are now backed-up....now that I
know how to do it. One day too late.)
If anyone out there is awaiting a reply from me, I'm afraid that you'll have
to write again. Sorry.

I have some info that the Rundle family of Co. Louth may have moved over to Donegal after 1900. If any one going through the BDM finds any Rundle entries after 1879 in Louth or Donegal , could you please let me know. Or if there is any one interested in this name I would love to hear from you.
Thanks a bunch,
