I'm looking for any information on Thompson / Thomas Gordon, born 1863 in
Scotland , father William. Thompson was confirmed in the Church of Lifford,
on 20 Oct 1879, it states he was from Braid, which used to be a berg near
Lifford, Co Donegal Ireland.
Any information appreciated!
Looking for Kerrigans whose ancestors came from Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal or
surrounding area in Kilbarron Parish or Ishmacsaint Parish in 1850's, and
originally settled in the east, possibly VT, MA, PA, and NH. My ggreat
grandfather, James Kerrigan (b.1807) came to USA in 1851-52 from Ballyshannon
and briefly settled in Burlington, Vermont, then moved on to Minnesota in
1856. Apparently 5 of his brothers also came to USA during same period but
remained in the eastern United States. James lost contact with his brothers.
James' father's name was Johnny Jack Kerrigan. James was married to Honorah
Gillespie (b.1803) and had 4 children, Andrew (b.1839), James (b.1842), and
Patrick (b.1844), and Anna (b.1845-6), all of who were reported as born in
Also looking for relatives of Frank Ambrose Kerrigan (b. 1880's) of Akron,
OH. He looked exactly like my grandfather who was mistaken for him during
WWI by a friend of the Ohio man. The irony is that my grandfather's name is
also Frank Ambrose Kerrigan (b. 1886), but he grew up in Ridgeway, MN. The
Ohio man must be a cousin of my grandfather, and is probably a link to the
Kerrigan brothers that settled in eastern United States

I think you'll find them all on Discovery map # 2. First off, I think
Kerrykeel is probably Carrowkeel, a townland (and also a town) on Mulroy Bay,
a little more than 3 miles NNE of Milford, located at 213 319 on the map.
Another reason I think that this is the correct place, is the existence of
Gortcally at 230 323, just a mile east of Carrowkeel, on the unnumbered road
to Rathmullan. Oughterlin is about in the middle between Gortcally and
Rathmullan, about a mile south of the connecting road at 260 295, and less
than 3 miles WNW of Rathmullan. Carrowkeel and Gortcally are in Tullyfern
civil parish, Oughterlin is in Killygarvin CP.
Pete Schermerhorn, in the glorious Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts
Carol Queen sent down an Obit where a guy was just interred in the Rathmullan Cemetery. The description said he resided at Gortcally, Kerrykeel in Donegal and his mass was said at St. Catherine's Church, Oughterlin.
I recognize NONE of these place names other than Rathmullan, and I have a pretty good map.
Could someone please describe these locations in relation to Rathmullan?
I am trying to locate the name and address of the Roman Catholic Church that includes Rathmullan as part of its Parish. Am I safe to conclude that it is St. Catherine's?? If the conclusion is correct, what is St. Catherine's mailing address?

The only relative I have in Ireland is Patrick Whorriskey, born March 1823, Ireland. He emigrated from Rathmullan, Donegal, and arrived Philadelphia, PA 18 April 1849 according to his Naturalization records.
Could someone let me know the mailing address of the Roman Catholic Church of which Rathmullan was part of it's diocese.
I would appreciate any suggestions that would lead me to information about his parents and siblings, if any.
