Subject: [INWHITLE] Lookup needed: Progressive Men & Women of Kosciusko
County, Indiana - 1902
I am in need of a look up in " Progressive Men & Women of Kosciusko County,
Indiana - 1902 " For Samuel Rider. I am looking for the source of his
information, particulary for the information on his great great grandfather
Daniel Rider ,which is mentioned at the end of his bio as given below.....
Progressive Men & Women of Kosciusko County, Indiana - 1902
....Daniel Rider was the first of the name in America, was a Hessian, and
belonged to a contingent of troops brought to this country by the British.
On learning the cause of the trouble between the colonies and England, he
left the British army and joined the continentals under Washington, serving
throughout the Revolutionary war. When peace was declared he settled in
York county. Pennsylvania, where he died. He was the
great-great-grandfather of our subject.
I am hoping the author listed his resources in the book.
Thanks , Melissa
