Sharon, thank you for taking the time to help me out. I have received a couple of messages
that have told me the same thing that you have. I wonder if maybe James could have gone by
Alexander, his middle name, on a copy of William Harley Gouchers application for a S.S. #
it list his father as Alex Goucher? I have found the marriage license for James A. Goucher
and Mary Darkon (Smith) I think she was married before. The license and the record of
where they are buried, are the only things that I can find on them. I know they where in
Indiana most of their lives, that is where they married and are buried. I think at one
time they might have taken a trip across the ocean, William told that he remembered going
across the big water in a boat when he was about 5, this would have been around 1900.
