I am seeking information about the FISHER families that lived in nearby
Miami Co. as well as Whitely Co., IN at the end of the 1800's.
In the 1860 Federal Census of Perry Twp., Miami Co, IN [p. 0185] my FISHER
family was in dwelling # 346, family # 339:
William Fisher, age 58, b. in Eng., Real prop. $800, Pers. prop. $300;
Charlotta Fisher, age 47, b. in Canada;
Jermiah Fisher, age 14, b. in OH;
Rosanna Fisher,, age 11, b. in OH;
Chalotta Fisher, age 9, b. in OH;
Benjamine Fisher, age 7, b. in OH.
The family has disintegrated by the time of the 1870 Federal Census of
Miami Co., with only Chalotta Fisher, age 57, b, in Canada still there.
Nearby in the 2nd Ward of Perry Twp. is her son Jeremiah Fisher, age 23, b.
in OH!
W. C. Fisher's Heirs [sic, his widow Charlotta] appears in the 1877
Kingman Atlas of Miami County, Indiana. 1877 as a landowner in Perry Twp.,
Miami Co., IN.
By 1880 she had moved to Whitley Co., IN where she lived out her life with
her eldest son, David C. (D.C.) Fisher. They appear in the 1880 Federal
Census there:

Charlotta Fisher died on 3 April 1895 and is buried in the Eberhard Cem.,
Columbia Twp., Whitley Co., OH; she was b. in 1813/14 in Canada.
From "History of Washington Twp., Whitley Co., IN":
"(David C.) D. C. FISHER was born in Wayne County, Ohio, January 29, 1839,
the son of William C. and Charlotte Fisher, both born in 1806 [sic, 1802
and 1813], and natives of England and Canada respectively. They were
married in Canada in 1829, and moved to Wayne County about 1836; remained
there about ten years and then removed to Stark County; in 1861 [no, by
1860] they came to Miami County, this State, where the father died in May,
1868, and where the mother now lives on the homestead farm, the mother of
nine children. In January, 1862, in Miami County, our subject enlisted in
Company F, Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and went to the front. He came home
on a furlough and married Phebe E. Thompson, July 19, 1862, and then
returned and served in his regiment till the close of the war. On his
return, he moved to Whitley County, near Columbia City; remained there
seven years, and then came to this township and settled in Section No. 9,
on a rented farm, and soon after bought the sixty acre farm where he now
resides, and moved on in 1877. His wife died here May 24, 1879, and June
20, 1880, he married Mrs. Lucy A. Crins. His farm is in fine condition and
he has a very comfortable home, with a prosperous future before him."

The Eberhard cemetery has grown considerably, so as to make it easier to
find a grave we have divided the cemetery into sections. Starting with the
western most part as A next B, C and D is the most eastern and newest.
Section D goes back and includes the Dr Thompson Memorial area. The
sections are divided by drives.
