I think that we should all make a contribution to help with project.

My name is Joshua Matthew Kubik with Troop 83 of the Boy Scouts of
America. I am currently working on a project that will help me earn the
rank of Eagle Scout. I have been helping Miss Egner photograph the
historic markers in Whitley County. For my project I am organizing the
repair and replacement of four historical and memorial markers in co
operation with the Whitley County Historical Society. I will be working
with members of my troop on October 13 to fix these markers and clean
the area around them. We will be replacing the sign that marks the
location of the Indian Fort on De la Balme Road. This marker was
originally placed by the DAR in the 1930's and is now nearly rusted
away. The Indiana State Historical marker for Thomas Estlick Jr. on
Etna Road has severely peeling paint. This marker will be sand blasted
and repainted. Two other markers show the family burial sites of early
Whitley County settlers. We will be cutting the weeds and trees that
are covering them.
I am writing you to ask for a small donation. The cost for new signs,
posts, paint and supplies is $333.00. Can you help by contributing a few
dollars for my project? Your check can be made out to: Troop 83 BSA.
Please mail your contribution to me at:

Please help me preserve a portion of our Whitley County heritage.
Sincerely,
