What a nice email to read in the morning while still getting my coffee
fill! Thank you Janet, you made my day!
I can echo Janet in saying thank you to all the volunteers who are and
have contributed their time and effort on getting the information out there
to help others in their research. Herb Vanderford is just amazing at
transcribing census' and one of these days I will figure out his secret to
doing these things so quickly (very big grin on my face!)! So thank you
Herb, Janet, Annette, Barbara, Sandy, Tom, Carole, Norm, Brandi and
hopefully I'm not forgetting anyone! And of course my family who puts up
with me sitting here at my computer working at all odd hours! But it
wouldn't be what it is without the help of others, so my hat is off to
everyone.
Many new things are yet to be added to the site as time, typing speed
and my coffee allow me to do! As some of you know I have a 'library' here
of information and my purpose of the site was to put my 'library' online so
that others may access freely what I have available here. My sister is on
this list so she can vouch for my collection and the piles of papers and
information that I have around my house! So there is much more yet to be
added!
I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and may the New Year
provide that bulldozer to knock down your brick walls! Stay safe and stay
warm!
Best Regards,
Angela Kneller

Subject: [INWHITLE] Thank you Angela!
: THANK YOU ANGELA!
:
: Here is a Christmas toast to Angela Kneller who in a few short months has
made ALHN "Whitley County Indiana Genealogy" into a premier site. We are
all indebted to Angela for the unbelievable amount of work and effort that
has gone into producing such a terrific and usable site. The publishing of
the full county biographies and history has been such a valuable tool. And
having the census on line is one of the greatest assets in following
ancestors. And it also gives the luxury of learning something about their
neighbors.
:
: And here is a cheer for all those volunteers who contributed to enhancing
the site and lending their genealogical expertise.
:
: And a special kudo to Herb Vanderford for his transcription of Etna and
Troy census through all those decades.
:
: Wish I could sent this message off in living color with all the bells and
whistles but since only plain text is allowed on lists, just imagine a
golden ringing bell with a bright red bow to the refrain of Jingle Bells!
