Thanks Angela,
Good to hear from you.
How is the weather man treating you? Any rain as a spin-off from the storm
in the Gulf? A good rain is a cure for almost everything.
How do you like the new place? Assume you have been knocking yourself out
cleaning it. Don't overdo. Like your new neighbors? Good neighbors make
all the difference in the world.
Have been trying to make up a FGS for William Stough. I am using yours as a
template but don't know how to make the second column of "Place" line up so
neatly. Your HTML 2nd column lines up beautifully. I can make the web page
columns come out neat but the HTML looks like #$%$ .......!
How ja do dat??
Great 1870 census. Thought that Columbia City census would be a long time
coming. I'm having a ball with the 1850 & 1860.
Henry is the Snyder I'm most interested in. They are buried in Columbia
City. Just ordered both their obits and death certificates from Whitley Co.
[And the g.s. for the Snyders buried in Kosciusko Co. is in the mail and on
its way.]
I have a hunch that Henry's parents (from his biog) were David Snyder and
Leah Browneller [aunt of Sarah Terman]. But with all the Snyders that
settled in Kosciusko, could be a sibling of David.
The 1870 census is interesting since Jeremiah Kohler was the son of
Elizabeth's sister Isabella. He is listed as a Bressler in 1860. Had
wondered if Jeremiah Kohler and his sister had been adopted by Isabella's
second husband -evidently not. Have no idea what happened to Isabella and
her second husband George Bressler. Both were daughters of Elizabeth Terman
and William Stough. I ordered Elizabeth's death certificate only to confirm
this. Hoping that her obit indicates what happened to all her half sibs. She
was about the last of the children of Elizabeth Terman
Haven't heard from your friend Judy Cook. She may not be that interested in
Snyders. Snyders are as common as Smiths in many areas. Hers may be
another family.
Talk to you later,
Janet
