In 1870 Columbia City IN census found a Samuel Markward b.c.1831 PA, wife
Mary Cockley, whom he married 1854 in Richland Co. OH. Who was his father?
Have been searching for any information on a Samuel Markward, wife Polly
Browneller, born est 1800 in Cumberland Co. PA area. Other closely related
families moved to Richland Co. OH about 1834.
The surname is spelled Markward /Markword/Marquart etc.
(Polly was an aunt of Sarah Terman of Troy)
