The early marriage records don't have much more details than what I typed and sent you
other than maybe who married them. They didn't start recording parents names and
birth dates until about book 7 and beyond. So other than having a copy of the original,
these records won't provide you with any more details.
About getting a copy, I don't have the marriage records on microfilm anymore. They
were sent back when I finished them. I have indexed all the marriage records from 1834 to
1951 and I am trying to get permission to index and organize the later years. These are
sorted by grooms, brides and by marriage date, so it is pretty easy to find who you are
looking for.
If you want a copy or the original you will need to do one of the following:
1) order the microfilm #2194436 from your local FHC (address on
www.familysearch.org
(This covers marriage record books 1-3)
2) Contact the White County Courthouse and request a photocopy be made from the originals
housed there. The address is on the White Co. GenWeb page or in the phone book.
If you want me to look for additional marriages in my master database I would be happy to
do so. I just need the names. If they are not there I will let you know, too. Also I
list the reference to the original marriage book and microfilm number so if you do want to
go back and see the originals it is easy to find them. Just let me know.
Dana
