Thanks to the responses on this. I did have all the census information on
Sarah after her marriage to Christian Heichel, plus her children (except
Anna). I have since learned that Anna was definitely a Wheaton at the time
of Sarah's death, which helps some. Although I still don't know her Wheaton
husband's name, so am unable to track her in the census records yet.
I'm laying odds on Sarah Coghill also. She is one possibility I was
tracking. There are actually five Sarahs or Catharines who married Culp men
in the same general time frame and all in north eastern Indiana. I've
eliminated one for sure already. So far, Sarah Coghill is the best fit,
since at least her parents were both born in KY. I will continue my tracking
on the rest of the five prospects just to leave no stone unturned.
Appreciate the parent's names! That's helped me fill in the family situation
quite well for the Sarah Coghill tracking. (Two brothers died in Civil
War... so sad.)
Also, I was finally able to locate her obituary now. (Thanks!) Unfortunately
it did not give any hint as to her maiden name though... Grrr. But now that
I have her date of death from the obit, I will send for the death cert. If
anything can help, that will!
Much appreciation for all the help!
Cheryl Druley
