Hi Luna, Small world. Conrad Fleek and Nancy Leatherman are my 2nd great-grandparents. I
was following this thred to see if there more Fleeks in Hemphill Cemetery than
Abraham's. Conrad and Nancy are in Greenbush Cemetery in Lafayette. Also Conrad's
brother, Abraham, a sister-in-law, Rebecca, and a niece, Catherine Fleek, daughter of
Abraham.
I am hoping someone will find my missing McKillip graves. I know James McKillip and his
brother Jackson are in Palestine Cemetery, but I don't know where Elizabeth Fleek
McKillip or the children of James McKillip are buried.
Most of them died young. Only 5 out of 14 were still living in 1910. If anyone sees them I
can be reached at joypero(a)msn.com.
The children of James McKillip were: Stergis L., Francis M., Nancy C., Mary E. McKillip
from his first marriage to Susannah Kendall, and the missing ones from his marriage to
Elizabeth Fleek were: William W., George B., James O., John H., Sarah, Eva J., and
Clarence McKillip.
Other children whose graves are known are Ella,(My grandmother), Addie McKillip Hotaling,
and a stepdaughter Mary Ann Fleek Jordan. My grandmother is buried in Los Angeles and
Addie is in Denver Colorado. Mary Ann is in Remington Cemetery. Most of Jackson
McKillip's family is in Palesntine Cemetery and brothers John and William McKillip are
in Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Tippcanoe along with their parents Daniel and Nancy.
