I visited the Monticello library this morning and found Peter P. Hepp born May 26, 1918 in
Pulaski County and died Nov. 3, 2007 in Chino Valley, AZ. His wife was Kay Casanova.
This may be a grandson of the people you are looking for. There was a notation that
Barbara Hepp's death certificate is at the White County Health Department. The
notation say that she was Female, White, 53, and died June 19, 1905. The record is in
Book H 22R on page 30. I did not find her obituary on the index cards. The 1873 White
County plat book for Liberty Township shows H. Hepp owning 60 and a half acres in Section
21 along the Tipecanoe River, now Lake Shafer. There is another parcel of 15.4 acres
located just south of there with no ownership information which could also belong to H.
Hepp. The 1896 platt book shows that Peter Hepp owns the same land and some more because
now he owned 102.57 acres plus the 15 acres to the south. In 1920 the ground was owned by
someone else, mostly by El!
i W. Smith. You may find something by looking through the old deed records. I don't
know if H. Hepp is Peter's father or not. I hope this helps. It probably just
confuses the situation.
