There are still alot of older homes along SR 43 in Brookston, but when you get either
north or south outside of Brookston, it is primarily open farmland. I can't recall
any old farm homes there now.
I am headed up to Monticello tomorrow and plan on driving to West Lafayette when I come
home (I live in Lafayette) so I will take SR43 from Reynolds to West Lafayette and see if
there are any old farm houses left.
I do think the Brookston Library would be a good source to find out if there are any old
photos. Another source would be the White County Historical Society & Museum in
Monticello.
