The first I find him is in the 1900 census for Indiana, Blackford county, Harrison
township, Dist 19, Page 23B, residing in Montpelier. The family was headed by Joseph
Headley, 49, born Sep 1850 in Ohio as were both parents, married 19 years, a laborer, and
included his wife Sarah, 39, Dec 1860 in NC as were both parents, married 19 years and
mother of 7 all still living, - his son Charles, 16, Apr 1884, Ind, - his son John, 15,
Oct 1885, Ind, - his daughter Lillian, 11, Au 1888, Ind, - his daughter Eva, 9, Dec 1890,
Ind, - his son Joseph, 6, Aug 1893, Ind, and his daughter Ruby, 4, Jan 1896, Ind. Notice
only 6 children listed. John H Treadley married Sylvia Trimble in Madison county, Indiana
on 28 Aug 1909. This was a second marriage for Sylvia as she had previously married
Edward Neibrand in Clinto county on 22 Apr 1900. In the 1910 census the family was in
Indiana, Madison county, Elwood Ward 2, Dist 119, page 6B, and was headed by John H
Headley, 24, married one tim!
e for 1 year, a roller in Tin Mill, born in Ind, father in Ohio and mother in NC, and
included his wife, Selvie P, 28, married 2 times, this time for 1 year, mother of 2 both
still living, born in Ind, father and mother in Ky, - his father Joseph, 59, married 1
time for 27 years, born in Ohio as were both parents, - his mother Sarah, 49, married 1
time for 27 years, born in NC as were both parents, and 2 step daughters Lavaun Neibrand,
9, and Leone Neibrand, 7, both born Ind as were oth parents. Don't know what happened
to Sylvia. I found 2 different marriages for John H Headley and Martha M Tucker, the first
was in Madison county on 12 Oct 1913 and the second was in Grant county on 26 Aug 1916.
In the 1920 census the family was in Ohio, Washington county, Marietta Ward 4, Dist 206,
page 10A, and was headed by Harry (as listed) Headley, 33, born in Ind, father in Ohio and
mother in NC, a foreman in Tin Mill, and included his wife Martha, 34, born in Wales,
father in Engln!

ker, 59, born in Wales as were both parents, imm 1901, - his brother-in-law, Hubert E
Tucker, 34, born in Eng a was his father and mother in Wales, imm 1901, a heater in tin
mill, and his neice Mabel M Tucker, 11, born in Pa as was her father and mother in Eng.
In 1930 the family was in Ohio, Jefferson County, Grover Mill, Dist 51, page 18A, and was
headed by John H Headley, 43, married at 28, a roller in tin mill, born in Ind, father in
Ohio and mother in NC, and included his wife Martha M, 44, married at 29, born in Wales,
father in Eng and mother in Wales, - hi daughter Natalie, 9, born in Ohio, father in Ind
and mother in Wales, and his brother-in-law William J Tucker, 50, widowed, a roller in tin
mill, born in Eng, father in Eng and mother in Wales. John H Headley registered for the
WWII draft in 1942, he lived at Box 263, Tiltonsville, Jefferson county, Ohio, he was 56,
DOB 2 Oct 1885, born in North Judson, Indiana, telephoe was Tilt 144, person who would
always know!
his whereabouts was Martha Maria Headley, he worked for Wheeling Steel Corp, Yorkville,
Ohio.
