Hi Karen,
The White County Cemetery Transcriptions lists in Riverview Cemetery (East
Monticello, White Co, IN) the following:
In Sec 7, Row 3 (I am placing a few in the order they are listed - note a
Brown "among" the Marshall listings - perhaps Florence's maiden name, or a
son married a Brown? - or maybe no connection?). Book states that
"information in this book is from Riverview Cemetery Records, Miller
Funeral Home Records, Aufenburg-Prevo Funeral Home Records & other sources"
Brown A.C. (no stone) Buried 11/1888
Brown, Anna M. (no stone)
Marshall, Florence R. (no stone)
Brown, J.G. Capt *
Co. N 20th Ind. Inf. GAR
Marshall, Wm. P. *
Co D. 9 Ind. Inf. GAR
Marshall, Harry E. *
b. 12/9/1866 d. 12/1/1903 GAR?
There is no listing for a Charles Marshall in the Master Index of White
County Cemeteries
You probably already have this info, but this family, in nearby Cass County
would appear to be the Wm P. Marshall family (Florence's middle name
perhaps Rose?):

This following Brown family in White County is possibly the JG and Anna M
listed in the cemetery booklet near/among the Marshall family (note Ann
born in MD, as was Rose Marshall - a possible connection? Could Ann be
Florence R(ose?)'s mother - age could be OK)

Some pure speculation for you - but possible clues to work on!!
Good luck!

Subject: [INWHITE] Marshall, Wm P. b. 1834 - Justice of the Peace White
Co. 1910
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"
Hello Fellow Reseachers!
I am hoping to locate someone familiar with this Marshall family.
I have searched for such a long time and received Wm's widow's Civil War
Pension Application today that revealed wonderful information.
Wm was born in 1834 in Beaver Co. PA. His wife was Florence R. Brown. It
states that he was the Justice of the Peace of White Co.
His death certificate does not reveal his parents' names! UGH.
They had 2 children Harry E. and Charles E.
Wm. died in 1914. Does anyone know what happened to Florence or when she
died?
I have searched so long and still no clue as to Wm's parents!
Any help would be appreciated.
Karen
