Unfortunately I know nothing about the specifics of the family you have in question.
However as I read the info, it only states they settled in the area mention about 1869 and
migrated prior to the civil war, that means your 1859 date could be correct. If you
don't have them yet, you will probably need to try to find their ship records.
We have a similar situation on my wife's family. They show up in documented White
County records about 1889 but we the migrated in 1884. Still have not been able to confirm
their whereabouts between the time period.

Although I am interested in Honey Creek Township, I appreciate
this link immensely.
BUT, I have a question about the particular biography of KLEIST,
Charles H.: Is the date of his father's emigration entered correctly?
Quoted:
"His family, which originated in Posen, Germany, was established in
White County prior to the Civil war. His father was Rudolph Kleist,
who emigrated to America and settled about 1869 at Bradford as it
was then known, now the City of Monon."
And then it states:
"About 1865 he removed to Reynolds. In the old country he had
learned the trade of cabinet maker, and at Reynolds from 1865 to
1883 worked as a carpenter and also conducted a furniture and
undertaking business."
So, I am wondering if the date of emigration would actually be
1859? Thank you for setting me straight!
