Carol,
This obit appeared in my newspaper (Journal Courier, Lafayette, IN today) for a Danny L.
Oberlander, who might be Glenn & Betty's nephew. The 1930 Wolcott, White Co., IN
census has a Glen & Francis listed as brothers and Francis was Danny's father.
DANNY L. OBERLANDER, 57
Monticello - Danny Lee Oberlander, 57, of Monticello, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday April 17,
2007 at his residence. Born Sept. 3, 1949 in Lafayette, he was the son of Francis R. and
the late Patricia M. Wiest Oberlander and a 1969 graduate of Twin Lakes High School. He
was a Navy veteran who served in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Saratoga. Mr. Oberlander
was a barber. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, fishing and playing pool.
Surviving with his father are a daughter; Susan N. Oberlander, Logansport; a son Troy R.
Oberlander; his father and stepmother, Francis R. and Janet Oberlander of Monticello; a
sister, Vickie L. Oberlander of Monticello; a stepsister, Jeanette Baldini (husband,
Chris) of Monticello and a stepbrother, Richard Wilken of Yeoman. Services are Friday in
Royal Center.
The only Oberlander's I found buried in White Co., were listed on find-a-grave in the
Apostolic Cemetery, Wolcott, Indiana, nothing for Glenn & Betty Oberlander. I hope
this little bit of info helps............Karen
