Message Board Post:
I am in the process of applying to the Department of Veteran's Affairs for a headstone
for my Great-great grandfather Arthur Wheeldon, whom I believe to be buried in an unmarked
grave in Clark Cemetery, White County, Indiana.
Arthur was born in Derbyshire, England in 1836, migrated to the U.S. in 1854, fought for
the 95th Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War, and died in Beaver Township,
Pulaski County, Indiana in December of 1910. Based on information in his obituary I
believe him to be buried next to his first wife in Clark Cemetery in northern White
County, Indiana.
I would like to hear from anyone who has information that can confirm or refute my
assumption on where he's buried.
Thanks for your help,
Jerry Jordan
