Looking at the names on this list, I wonder if the BARRS could be KARRs and the first letter misread at some point.
Karr is the original spelling of CARR. I'm not sure who this John P. Carr is descended from, but I know there was a
John Davis Carr living in WHITE for a period before he re-located to TIPPECANOE. John D. Carr was the brother of Solomon Carr of White CO. I know one or two of John D.'s brothers married Price sister in FAYETTE CO. OH.
John D and Solomons father was Martin Luther Carr, b.1772
in HAMPSHIRE CO VA, who married 1792/93 to Elizabeth DAVIS
in HARDY CO. VA, (same area, county re-named in 1785).
They moved to ROSS CO OH in early 1st decade of 1800's and then on to FAYETTE CO OH where Elizabeth died around 1824.
Martin moved with some of his children to Prairie township, KOSCIUSCO CO IN. After his death in 1844, some of his kids moved on to other counties, including John D and Solomon.
Martin Luther had other brothers and sisters in OH, some in
Deer Township in PICKAWAY CO., and some in DELEWARE CO.
I'm sure the next generation spread out even more.
Family names of Martins age were: SHOBE, BUSH, PECK, SMITH,
JACKSON, JONES, DAVIS, BEAN, HAGLER, HAYES, HIRE/HIER/HEYER,
SHOOK, and more.
Martins son and John D and Solomons brother Reuben Carr
married Mary CREAMER in Fayettesville, FAYETTE CO OH in 1830. They moved to JASPER CO IL ca 1850 with another
brother named Jacob. Reuben & Mary are my direct line.
John Davis Carr was born around 1810, so I don't believe
him to be John P.'s father, but Solomon was born in the late
1790's. John P. could be his grandson. OR, some of the
PICKAWAY CO. OH Carr could have come to IN. I just feel
with the CREAMER (originally Kraemer) there is a FAYETTE OH
connection there.
They also had LAWYERS, WOODS, MOORE, BLOOM, THOMPSON and
others surnames in Solomon & John D. age group.
Hope this helps someone.

I am interested in Charlotte Martins husband, Solomon
Carr. Could he be the son of Martin Luther Carr and Elizabeth Davis of HAMPSHIRE/HARDY VA to OH & KOSCIUSCO CO IN? Could he be the brother of John Davis Carr of WHITE & TIPPECANOE CO's in IN.
Martin Luther Carr died 1844 in Prairie township, KOSCIUSCO CO IN. Before that they lived in FAYETTE CO OH.
Some of the children were born in HARDY CO VA.
Elizabeth DAVIS was the daughter of the infamous TORY, John Davis, who was part of the CLAYPOOL REBELLION in HAMPSHIRE CO. VA early 1780's. He was captured and sentenced to hang
for treason, but escaped.
Elizabeth died in FAYETTE CO. OH ca 1824.

I am interested in the WRIGHT, THOMPSON and WILSON families. Do you have their backgrounds. Who were the parents of the WRIGHTS. I have all 3 names in my family
lines, and all names could be from different locations, but part of the same roots.

I'm still looking for information about the Jabez Osman/Osmon family in Princeton Township. He married Ellen Price in Tippecanoe Co. in 1851. I am trying to find the Osman/Osmon family he belongs to. So far, I haven't been able to connect him to any families. The Jabez Osman in Daviess County was married to someone else, and he is buried in Daviess County. My Jabez died in 1886 and is buried in Johnson Cemetery in Wolcott with his wife, Ellen, and son John N. Osmon. In the 1880 census he states his father was born in Kentucky and his mother in Ohio. I would appreciate any help or information to extend his genealogical line.

Thank you so much for answering my query. I have found them in "Find A Grave". I note that there is no birth date on John Wisehart. I think I found the date in "Family Trees". Thanks again. Joanne

Kathy, I know this is responding to a 12 year old query, but I need to find out if you are still on here. This is your nephew in law, Paul Basso, and my wife, Cathy LaVerne (Reid) Basso, was your brother, Sonny Reid's daughter. I have been trying to find you for quite a long time.

Joanne. The info I found does not agree completely with yours. I found both of them buried in Smelcer, aka Smeltzer Cemetery near Brookston. John Wisehart is listed as birth UNK and death as Mar 8, 1848. Martha Ann Wisehart is listed as birth Aug 19, 1814 and death as Mar 2, 1875. Don
