This may have already been relayed; however, I am the greatgreatgranddaughter of William Harrison Jordan. His wife was Rebecca Jane Wise. They were married in 1866.
This William Harrison Jordan was the son of James Riley Jordan and Elizabeth Woodward. He was born in Irvine, Estill Co., KY as was his wife Rebecca Jane Wise. From what I have gleaned they had 11 children:
L. J. Jordan
Thomas Jordan
Mary Elizabeth Jordan
John William Jordan (my ancestor)
James Riley Jordan
Henry Milton Jordan
Betty Arzelia Jordan
Drucilla Alice Jordan (Druzie)
Viney Jordan
Robert H. Jordan
and
Georgia B. Jordan
If you have any other information on these Jordan's I would love to see it...

I have received some very helpful responses to queries posted to this website. Therefore, I will submit my question here and will hope for help, if possible and available.
I am researching Joseph Meek. Born circa 1817 in Henry County, Kentucky, he moved to White County, Indiana in the decade following 1840. He and his spouse settled in Prairie Township, White County, Indiana. Joseph raised a family and lost his wife, Serena (Stewart) Meek sometime during 1880-1890.
Following Serena's death, Joseph took as his second wife Abby (Davis) Metheny, also widowed. They were married in 1885. In the 1900 Census for Prairie Township, White County, Indiana, Joseph Meek was enumerated as residing in the household of George and Nancy Marlatt. The Census Record refers to Joseph as "Father-in-Law". Joseph and Abby's report of 14 years of married life coincides with the 1885 application for a marriage license, recorded in White County.
In simple, straightforward terms, I am seeking any information to inform me of the outcome of Joseph's long life after 1900. According to her death record, Abby Meek passed away in June of 1904. She is buried in the Battleground Cemetery. While a "J.A. Meek" is buried there also, I do not know whether it is the same person.
Any and all assistance to identify Joseph's whereabouts, when he died and where he is buried would be much appreciated. I have found a record which the WPA transcribed, referring to the death of a Joseph Meek in Prairie Township in May 1919. Because this would mean that Joseph reached age 100, it is difficult for me to believe that this is the same Joseph.
However, the WPA has been known to mis-transcribe records. Until I can actually see a copy of this record, I will not know for sure whether or not the Joseph I am seeking is the same person whose death was recorded.
Anyone who might possess information relating to this matter is invited to contact me as soon as conveniently possible. Your anticipated information is much valued and greatly appreciated.
Best regards.

Barnibus Davis' son Lemuel was in White Co., IN
Add a few more Biblical given names including Noah and we might experience a harmonic convergence of Davis & related families.
Look at RootsWeb World Connect Project for Noah Davis, b. 1791 in Swint, Bevin, Wong, Lee. Hope to hear from you.

Thanks. I have already been in contact with them. Noah Davis was born in Essex Co., NJ. He and his brother George settled in White County (Noah) and Cass County (George) Indiana. I believe their parents were Joseph Davis (1763-?) possibly born in NJ or VA and Sarah born in VA. I would be interested in knowing if any of this matches up with your Abel Davis. Colleen
