Not related, just trying to help. I believe her to be the daughter of William C Johnson
and Charity Shigley who married in Wells county on 14 Sep 1876, source is book C-5, page
35. In the 1880 census the family was in Wells county, Nottingham township, Dist 147,
page 25, and was headed by William, 28, a farmer, born in Ohio, no listing for the birth
of his parents. The family included his wife Charity, 23, born in Ind and both parents in
Ohio, his son John R, 2, Ind, and his daughter Sulie Viola, 4/12. Ind. Unfortunately the
1890 census was destroyed by fire and is not available for research. In 1900 the family
was still in Nottingham township, Dist 152, page 5A, and was again headed by William, 50,
born Dec 1849, married 24 years, a farmer born in Ohio, father in Va and mother in Ohio.
The family included his wife Charity J, 42, Sep 1846, married 24 years, mother of 9 all
still living, born in Ind and both parents in Ohio, - his son John R, 22, Nov 1878, a farm

in Nottingham township, Dist 169. page 4B, and was again headed by William C, 60, married
33 years, a farmer, born in Ohio, father in Va and mother in US. The family included his
