Greg,
Perhaps your Samuel was visiting one of his children and unexpectedly
passed away. In that case, his death certificate would be in their
county. Just an idea.

I am still trying to figure out where my greatgrandfather died. I wrote to
the state dept of vital statistics who tell me that he did not die in
either Wells or Allen Counties between 1918 and 1922. Anyone have any
ideas as to where I might look next??
