Attack Fatal to Mrs. Baumgartner
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Goodwin Funeral Home for
Mrs. Anna L. Baumgartner, 70, of Vera Cruz, who died at 8 a.m. Wednesday
at the home of a daughter, Mrs. William (Patricia) Barton of Lake Webster.
Death was due to a heart attack and followed an illness of 2 1/2 months.
Born Feb. 25, 1902 in Adams County, Mrs. Baumgartner was a daughter of
John D. and Rosella Sautbine Stoutenberry. Her marriage to Daniel V.
Baumgartner, who died March 25, 1958, took place June 14, 1925.
Mrs. Baumgartner, a resident of Wells County most of her life, was a
member of St. John's United Church of Christ at Vera Cruz.
Surviving are another daughter, Miss Marjorie Baumgartner, at home; a
brother, Marvin Stoutenberry of Decatur rural route; a sister, Mrs. Russel
(Vera) Owens of Decatur, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Rev. John Dulin
will officiate at the rites and burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
